Ente Nacional de Comunicaciones, also known as ENACOM, is a State Owned entity based in Argentina. Founded in 2016 and with approximately 580 employees, the agency serves as the statutory regulatory authority for the telecommunications and audiovisual sectors in Argentina. Established on 5 January 2016 via presidential decree, ENACOM combined the functions of the former AFSCA (Federal Authority for Audiovisual Communication Services) and AFTIC (Federal Authority for Information and Communication Technologies). Functioning as an administrative node under the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers, ENACOM is responsible for ensuring the technical compliance, legal standardisation, and democratic accessibility of communication networks across the Republic. The agency has undergone a significant regulatory shift via Resolution 57/2026, decentralising its certification framework to align with international industry standards.
