The International Chess Federation announced on Tuesday that the FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Championships will take place in Doha, Qatar in 100 days. The Blitz championship format will feature a Swiss system followed by a knockout stage with four players. In August, 123,000 accounts were closed for violating the Fair Play policy; this included 16 titled players. These numbers are consistent with previous months.
