Broadcom's AI semiconductor revenue surged to $8.4 billion in Q1 FY26, a 106% year-over-year increase, leading analysts to issue a buy rating as the company targets over $100 billion by 2027. Earlier on May 1, the company's CEO was among four global chief executives, including those from Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, and Microsoft, who collectively earned more than $100 million in compensation during 2025. Also on May 1, Broadcom rolled out its fourth generation of Wi-Fi 8 (IEEE 802.11bn) hardware, featuring a new 10G PON gateway System-on-Chip (SoC) with built-in Wi-Fi 8 support, designed to provide service providers with a path to transition from copper and cable to modern fiber networks.
