Bathurst 12 hour, also known as Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour, is a privately owned entity headquartered in Australia. Established in 1991, the organization operates an annual endurance race for GT and production cars, an event held at the Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, Australia.
On March 3, 2026, expert analysis examined whether the Shell V-Power Racing Team and DJR are back in contention for race wins. Previously on March 2, Martin secured victory for Team GMR and Mercedes in Race 25 of the 2025 Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440. Earlier that same day, qualifying for the 2026 DUNLOP Sydney 500 Race 1 determined the Boost Mobile Pole position for the opening race of the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship at Sydney Motorsport Park. This followed a health update on February 15 from Ralf Aron after a Bathurst crash where he was leading in the #77 Mercedes-AMG Team Craft-Bamboo Mercedes during a Safety Car restart and came across the Porsche of Johannes Zelger and the Aston Martin of Duncan Hamilton on the run to Forrest's Elbow. Also on February 15, Gounon described himself as "heartbroken" after a clash with the #32 BMW, stating he committed under braking to take the lead back during the restart, making contact unavoidable.
