Banglalink is a privately owned company headquartered in Bangladesh. It is a subsidiary of VEON. Founded in 2005, it employs approximately 5,190 people and operates as a telecommunications provider in Bangladesh.
On July 8, 2026, Banglalink partnered with US-based nonprofit Winrock International to create sustainable livelihood opportunities for survivors of human trafficking. The initiative, implemented under the Ashshash project and supported by the Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh, leverages the Banglalink Power app. Previously, on July 2, Veon, the global digital operator and parent company of Banglalink, committed an initial US$250 million anchor investment. This investment forms part of a new initiative designed to attract a total of US$1 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) to Bangladesh, with the goal of accelerating digital and financial inclusion in the country.
