Automobili Lamborghini was recently spied testing a camouflaged Urus SE prototype, equipped with Performante upgrades, near its Sant'Agata Bolognese factory on March 20, 2026. Earlier on the same day, CEO Stephan Winklemann stated that super luxury car demand in the Indian market is projected to remain stable throughout the current calendar year, despite the West Asia crisis, attributing this resilience to a new generation of customers, improved infrastructure, and consistent government policies. Previously, Winkelmann noted that Lamborghini would not benefit from the proposed India-EU free trade pact because it excludes plug-in hybrid vehicles, which now comprise the company's entire lineup, though he expressed hope for future inclusion. While acknowledging positive tariff reductions for internal combustion engine vehicles, Winkelmann described the agreement as a "mixed bag" given the exclusion of their current portfolio. The luxury carmaker also reported record revenue and deliveries for 2025, with 10,747 cars handed over worldwide and a turnover of €3.20 billion. Despite operating income reaching €768 million, profitability eased slightly to 24% compared to the previous year.
