On July 9, 2026, a Washington federal judge dismissed a proposed class action lawsuit against Amazon.com Inc. and its subsidiary Audible Inc., which accused them of deceptively enrolling customers in audiobook service subscriptions. Also on July 9, Audible celebrated the 15th anniversary of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" series by re-releasing its audiobooks and featuring interviews with author E L James and narrators Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton. Previously, on July 6, the Wondery+ podcast subscription service and its app ceased operations, directing former Wondery+ subscribers to join Audible memberships to access titles and the broader Audible catalog.
