Anuvu is a privately owned company headquartered in the US, formerly known as Global Eagle Entertainment. Founded in 2002, Anuvu employs approximately 900 individuals and focuses on enterprise connectivity services, providing high-speed connectivity and entertainment services for the mobility and hospitality industries.
Anuvu appointed Simon Sutton as Chief Executive Officer, effective June 15, 2026. Sutton, a veteran media and entertainment executive, succeeds Joshua Marks, who led the company since 2018. This follows Anuvu's move in late May 2026 to enhance its inflight connectivity services. The company signed a multi-year agreement with Eutelsat to secure high-throughput Ku-band satellite capacity on the Eutelsat 10B spacecraft. This capacity aims to provide airline passengers with faster, more reliable internet access, boosting inflight internet capacity, particularly over Europe and the Middle East. The Eutelsat 10B, activated in 2023, carries two multi-beam High-Throughput Satellite (HTS) Ku-band payloads.
