American Motorcyclist Association, also known as AMA, is a state-owned organization headquartered in the US that focuses on motorsports and cycling. Founded in 1924, it employs approximately 90 individuals and reported $24.3M in revenue as of 2023. Functioning as a tier 3 media tech buyer, its core mission involves advocating for motorcyclists' interests in the halls of local, state, and federal government, within the committees of international governing organizations, and in the court of public opinion.
On March 18, 2026, the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame named Broc Glover, a 2000 inductee, as an AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Legend, a distinction held by a select group of Hall of Famers. Previously, on March 16, the AMA announced the 2026 AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will occur on September 10 at the Event Center at Violet Woods in Pickerington, Ohio, to formally induct the Class of 2026. On March 9, the American Motorcyclist Association recognized MotoAmerica Chief Financial Officer Richard Varner with the Jim Viverito Friend of the AMA award, presented on March 7. This award honors individuals and organizations in the motorcycle community that strongly support the AMA and its mission, commemorating longtime AMA Board Member Jim Viverito. Earlier in the month, on March 2, Eli Tomac secured his eighth win at Daytona International Speedway, shattering a track record, while Seth Hammaker won the 250SX East class. This follows the February 25 announcement by the American Motorcyclist Association regarding the racing schedule and class structure for the 2026 Roof Systems AMA Flat Track Grand Championship, presented by All Balls Racing, which is scheduled for July 5-10 in Du Quoin, Illinois.
