This transaction, initially announced in 2025, concluded after regulatory approvals and the fulfillment of contractual conditions. S&C advised O2 Slovakia and e& PPF Telecom Group on the acquisition of UPC Broadband Slovakia from Liberty Global. UPC Broadband Slovakia provides broadband television and fixed telephony services, with a network covering nearly 80 cities and reaching over 600,000 households. O2 Slovakia, operating as a mobile unit with 2.37 million active SIM cards, also offers fixed internet connections and its O2 TV service. This follows the agreement signed by Liberty Global, UPC Broadband Slovakia's parent company, and O2 Slovakia on December 17, 2025, for the sale of the provider of television and internet services. Earlier, on March 12, 2025, UPC Broadband Slovakia announced it had the fastest fixed broadband speed in the country, according to studies from the global gaming platform Steam and nPerf.
