Orange Slovakia expanded its 5G network coverage to 92.5 percent of the country's population on September 17, 2026, after launching services in several dozen additional villages, bringing its total network sites to 1486. Previously, on September 9, Orange Slovakia extended its national roaming contract with Swan, the operator of 4ka, until the end of 2028. This agreement ensures 4ka customers can continue to utilize Orange's 2G network and a portion of its 4G network, with Orange stating that the scope and quality of roaming should remain consistent. Earlier in the month, on September 1, the operator of the International Student Identity Card (ISIC) ended its long-standing partnership with Orange Slovakia, naming O2 Slovakia as its new provider. This follows Orange Slovensko's ten-year physical power purchase agreement (PPA) with independent power producer Enery for the supply of solar energy, signed on August 26.
