Previously, on March 19, The New York Racing Association (NYRA) and Chester Racecourse in England announced a partnership wherein two races run during Chester’s Boodles May Festival will serve as automatic qualifiers to a pair of stakes during the first week of June at Saratoga’s Belmont Stakes Racing Festival, with winners earning fees-paid berths. Earlier, on March 14, Tom Ryan of co-owner SF Racing confirmed that the undefeated colt Taj Mahal will make his next start in the Grade 2 $750,000 Wood Memorial presented by Resorts World Casino on April 4 at Aqueduct Racetrack.
