Earlier on September 15, Bezeq Israel announced its board approved a 45-business-day extension of its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Telecom Italia Sparkle. This extension grants additional time to finalize terms for the joint installation and operation of a major international subsea cable system, aiming to establish a high-capacity telecommunications route connecting East and West via Israel. Previously, on September 14, Sparkle and Equinix co-hosted a webinar titled "Quantum Safe Interconnection for the AI Era," which explored methods for enterprises to protect cloud data and AI flows against current cyber risks and future quantum threats within distributed digital ecosystems.
