Sparkle, also known as TISparkle and TI Sparkle, is a privately owned company headquartered in Italy. It is a subsidiary of Gruppo TIM and employs approximately 900 individuals. Functioning as a global service provider, Sparkle specializes in offering enterprise and B2B services, including fibre, IP, cloud and data center solutions, mobile, and voice services.
On March 12, 2026, Sparkle CEO Enrico Maria Bagnasco met with Genoa Mayor Silvia Salis to discuss the company's digital initiatives and the city's strategic role as an international communications hub, aiming to consolidate Genoa's position as the digital capital of the Mediterranean. Previously, on February 25, Sparkle, as part of the TIM Group, offset greenhouse gas emissions for its website through collaboration with Rete Clima and projects supporting the Amazon Rainforest. Earlier in February, on the 2nd, the company announced record results in its 2025 Customer Satisfaction Survey, highlighting customer experience as a strategic pillar and the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) as a core measurement tool since 2014. This followed an agreement signed on January 29 between Sparkle and Valencia Digital Port Connect to land the Barracuda Subsea Cable at Genoa Landing Platform, which will provide the first direct Spain–Italy submarine cable and expand access to major European Internet Exchange points via Sparkle’s infrastructure. Earlier in January, research published on the 7th indicated that Sparkle’s submarine fiber-optic network, a backbone for global communications in the Mediterranean, could also serve as a tool for seismic monitoring, with variations in light polarization within existing cables correlating with major earthquakes.
