Previously, on August 28, the club mourned the passing of HM King Harald V, an Honorary Member renowned as a respected sailing monarch. Concluding on August 27, the 50th anniversary RORC Round Britain and Ireland Race saw 32 boats and 182 sailors complete the 1805 nautical mile course after its start on August 9, 2026.
