Rocky Mountain PBS and Colorado Ballet announced an August 27 partnership to broadcast Colorado Ballet’s 2026 MasterWorks program statewide, with broadcasts beginning October 1 and streaming available on RMPBS+. Previously, on July 16, Rocky Mountain Public Media (RMPR) expanded its Colorado footprint, gaining control of six full-power FM stations from Community Radio for Northern Colorado through a signed asset purchase agreement. This acquisition, first reported on July 15 following a June 30 agreement, includes stations like KUNC in Greeley and KJAC in Timnath, which airs The Colorado Sound in a Triple A format. The transaction, detailed in a July 7 filing, also involves the acquisition of 11 FM translators and the assumption of a $900,000 loan held by Community Radio for Northern Colorado. Earlier, on June 15, Rocky Mountain Public Media publicly distanced itself from comments made by its board chairman on social media regarding former President Donald Trump, stating the post violated its social media guidelines and did not reflect its values.
