News Summary:

On April 29, 2026, Ukrainian media outlet Glavcom reported that International Swimming League (ISL) Founder and financier Konstantin Grigorishin was formally accused of large-scale embezzlement and added to Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs wanted list. Previously, on April 6, 2026, World Aquatics, the international governing body of swimming, was ordered to pay only $1 in damages to the International Swimming League following an antitrust case. The ISL had sought a $40 million damages claim. The jury found that ISL proved World Aquatics and one or more of its member federations refused to deal with the league, but did not prove that the agreement to boycott had no purpose other than disadvantaging ISL. Lawyers for World Aquatics successfully shifted the case's focus to ISL's operational failures, highlighting shortcomings in its people, experience, and expertise.
