News Summary:

On April 29, 2026, International Swimming League (ISL) Founder Konstantin Grigorishin was formally accused of large-scale embezzlement and added to Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs wanted list, according to Ukrainian media outlet Glavcom. This followed a verdict on April 6, where World Aquatics, the international governing body of swimming, was awarded only $1 in damages after a jury found against a $40 million damages claim filed by the International Swimming League. The jury determined that the ISL proved World Aquatics and one or more of its member federations refused to deal with the league, but did not find that the agreement to boycott had no purpose other than disadvantaging the ISL. During the proceedings, World Aquatics' legal team shifted the case's focus to highlight the ISL's shortcomings in people, experience, and expertise.
