Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) is selling its stakes in Polish fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network provider Fiberhost and telecommunications service provider Inea to Deutsche Telekom for €1 billion ($1.16 billion). The transaction is expected to conclude at the end of 2026, integrating both companies into Deutsche Telekom’s Polish subsidiary, T-Mobile Polska. On August 19, Deutsche Telekom announced its agreement to acquire 100% of Fiberhost, an open-access fixed network operator, and Inea, a retail broadband and TV provider, for an enterprise valuation of approximately €1 billion. This acquisition from Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 5 and minority shareholders aims to strengthen T-Mobile Polska's position in fixed broadband and transform it into an integrated telecommunications service provider. Previously, on August 17, Macquarie Asset Management, acting on behalf of Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 5, had agreed to divest its interest in Fiberhost and Inea to Deutsche Telekom.
