On March 19, 2026, Imperial War Museums issued a contract award notice for specialist logistics to manage large museum assets at IWM Duxford, a significant heritage site and visitor attraction. Previously, on March 10, Imperial War Museums partnered with the University of York, London Zoo, and Forestry England in an initiative to research and address volunteering barriers. This partnership aims to broaden the talent pool for volunteering opportunities by including individuals with mental health issues, disabilities, or neurodiversity.
