IWM, also known as Imperial War Museums, is a non-profit organization headquartered in the UK, founded in 1917, and employs approximately 550 individuals. The organization's main product offerings include museums, historical sites, and zoos, focusing on exploring the causes of war and its impact on people’s lives.
On March 19, 2026, Imperial War Museums issued a contract award notice for specialist logistics to manage large museum assets at IWM Duxford, a significant heritage site and visitor attraction. Previously, on March 10, Imperial War Museums partnered with the University of York, London Zoo, and Forestry England in an initiative to research and address volunteering barriers. This partnership aims to broaden the talent pool for volunteering opportunities by including individuals with mental health issues, disabilities, or neurodiversity. Earlier, on February 1, the museum awarded a contract for the removal and disposal of asbestos from the sub-basement of Churchill War Rooms. On the same day, Imperial War Museums also published a tender notice for an AV Media Design Framework.
