Earlier, on June 18, the company explained Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) as a transport method for consistent data movement, noting its importance for enterprises relying on predictable performance. This followed a June 11 update where Sr. Director of OSP Construction Greg Hollanders highlighted that 89% of FiberLight's 20,000 route miles of fiber is installed underground, addressing the global demand for high-capacity broadband. Previously, on May 7, Public Sector Director Matt Leach noted the conclusion of the E-Rate season, signifying that projects for schools and libraries were either underway or about to begin. On May 1, CEO Bill Major outlined the company's focus on expanding its network in Texas, driven by the surging demand from AI and hyperscale data centers, emphasizing the need for speed, capacity, and reliability in network design and deployment, including high-capacity routes and redundancy.
