Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation, also known as ETV, is a state-owned public service broadcaster headquartered in Ethiopia. Founded in 1962, the corporation operates with approximately 290 employees and functions as a tier 1 media tech buyer, specializing in broadcast television and radio services.
On September 28, 2025, the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) forged a partnership with the Voice of Nigeria (VON), which aims to collectively shape and project Africa’s narrative to the world. VON Director-General Jibrin Ndace expressed this intent during a visit to Ethiopia's Ambassador to Nigeria, Esayas Seifu, in Abuja. Previously, on July 15, 2025, EBC featured Education Minister Professor Birhanu Nega on its "Bertu Weg" program, where he discussed persistent challenges within the education sector and the performance of the country’s education system over the past four years. Earlier, on July 13, 2025, State Minister Eyob Tekalign announced in an EBC interview that Ethiopia’s Ministry of Finance would permit foreign trade transactions in currencies beyond the U.S. dollar, a strategic effort to decrease dollar reliance and bolster international partnerships.
