England Netball is a privately owned organization headquartered in the UK. Founded in 1926, the organization employs approximately 300 individuals and reported $18.8M in revenue as of 2025. England Netball announced on March 16, 2026, that Olivia Murphy joined its coaching team, following Jess Thirlby's departure as Vitality Roses Head Coach. Murphy will join the new backroom team before returning to Loughborough University as Deputy Director of Sport after this summer’s Commonwealth Games. Earlier the same day, Thirlby confirmed her decision to step down from her role as Head Coach immediately, ending her six-and-a-half-year tenure, which she described as "the greatest privilege to be the Roses’ longest-serving Head Coach." England Netball respected and supported her decision. Previously, on March 1, finalists prepared to compete in the National Schools Finals, English netball's longest-running competition, which crowns champions in U14, U16, and U19 age divisions. In late February, the Netball Super League (NSL) announced its 2026 Soft & Gentle Grand Final will take place on June 20 at Co-op Live Manchester, marking the first time a ball sport and a sporting final will be staged at the United Kingdom’s largest arena.
