Dakota State University, also known as DSU, is a publicly owned entity headquartered in the US. Established in 1881 as a normal school focused on teacher training, the institution operates with approximately 850 employees. While education remains its heritage mission, the state legislature added a signature technology mission in 1984, specializing in programs in computer management, computer information systems, and other related undergraduate and graduate programs as a public university in Madison, South Dakota.
