This cancellation followed CSI Sports filing a lawsuit against Mayweather on June 19, 2026, accusing him of breach of contract and demanding the return of a $4.65 million advance. According to the lawsuit, CSI Sports paid Mayweather the advance last year for exclusive rights to promote his fights. Previously, on June 30, 2025, CSI Entertainment, also known as CSI Sports and owner of Fight Sports, was implicated in challenges surrounding K-1's global "ReBirth" efforts after K-1 announced Fight Sports would air a replay of a February 9, 2025, event on February 22, the same day as the announcement.
