Residents in Denver's Globeville Elyria-Swansea communities voiced concerns on March 20, 2026, regarding the impacts of a new CoreSite colocation data center, as pushback against such facilities grows nationwide. This follows reports from March 10 detailing community organizing efforts in Denver against new data center developments. Previously, on March 18, CoreSite, an American Tower company, announced a strategic solutions referral partnership with OptiCool Technologies, a provider of advanced two-phase rear door heat exchanger cooling solutions. This collaboration aims to advance data center cooling for high-density compute environments, supporting critical business and AI workloads. Earlier in the month, on March 3, Community IX, a member-run Internet Exchange provider, established its Florida Internet Exchange (FL-IX) and Northern Virginia IX (CIX-NoVA) in CoreSite's Miami (MI1) and Northern Virginia (VA1) data centers. This move expanded Community IX's presence to over 25 sites in Southern Florida, Northern Virginia, and Atlanta, supporting more than 225 connected networks and over 35 Tbps of connected capacity.
