Conference USA recently released the 2026 football schedules for its member institutions. Liberty completed its 2026 football schedule with the league's announcement of its eight conference games, which follows the university's prior release of four non-conference games, including the Battle of the Blue Ridge against James Madison on September 5. Western Kentucky University also announced a revised 2026 football schedule, with the Hilltoppers scheduled to open CUSA play on October 1 at New Mexico State, followed by October "Weekday CUSA" home games against Missouri State. This comes as Conference USA and Louisiana Tech reached a settlement on April 28, allowing the Bulldogs to depart the league this summer and join the Sun Belt Conference for the 2026–27 academic year. Earlier, on April 26, both Louisiana Tech and Conference USA confirmed an agreement for Tech to move to the Sun Belt Conference in July, concluding a 13-year partnership.
