This followed State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yeaser Khan Chowdhury’s directive on March 23, 2026, for Bangladesh Television (BTV) Chattogram Center officials to air quality programs and expedite the development project for advanced digitalized equipment. Previously, on June 2, 2025, Finance Adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed announced that Bangladesh anticipated receiving approximately $3.6 billion in budget support from development partners by the end of June, in a pre-recorded speech aired on Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar.
