Asia Rugby, a state-owned organization headquartered in Hong Kong, is the governing body for rugby union in Asia. Founded in 1968, it operates under the authority of World Rugby. As of 2023, the organization employs approximately 30 people and its primary activity is the oversight and administration of spectator sports related to rugby union.
Asia Rugby signed a Host Union Agreement with Oman Rugby on an unspecified date, confirming Oman as the host for the Asia Rugby Emirates Sevens Trophy 2025 – Central and West Asia leg. The signing ceremony occurred at Asia Rugby headquarters in Dubai, UAE, with the attendance of Asia Rugby President Qais Al Dhalai and Oman Rugby Chairman Nabil Al Busaidi. Following the Asia Rugby Emirates U20 Men’s and Women’s Sevens tournament in Rajgir, Bihar, India from August 9–10, 2025, the next youth tournament will be held in Hohhot, China.
