On May 1, Fitch Ratings affirmed Cincinnati Bell Inc.'s (CBI) and its subsidiary Cincinnati Bell Telephone Company LLC's (CBT) Long-Term Issuer Default Ratings (IDRs) at 'B', maintaining a Stable Outlook. Fitch also affirmed CBT's senior notes at 'B+' with an 'RR3' Recovery Rating. Previously, on April 19, Altafiber integrated eero whole-home Wi-Fi into all residential internet plans. Earlier, on April 1, Altafiber announced its annual Electronic Waste Recycling Event, which was scheduled for April 23-25 at retail stores in Greater Cincinnati, Dayton, and Dublin as part of the company’s Earth Month celebration. This followed a March 22 announcement that Altafiber would expand its XGS-PON fiber network across Ohio, bringing internet speeds up to 6 gigabits to approximately 17,600 homes and businesses in Grove City and 15,000 homes and businesses in Marysville. Construction for this expansion is slated to begin in the second quarter of 2026.
