Actus Digital, a privately owned company headquartered in the US and a LiveU company, was founded in 2005 and employs approximately 30 individuals. The company reported $3.0M in revenue as of 2024. Functioning as a content supply chain provider, Actus Digital offers the Actus X Intelligent Monitoring Platform, a software solution for the media and broadcast industry. Its focus is on broadcast compliance logging, quality assurance (QA), and media intelligence, serving clients such as broadcasters, media regulators, government and intelligence agencies, and Multichannel Video Programming Distributors (MVPDs). The platform is designed to consolidate operational needs, including continuous regulatory recording, technical monitoring, content monetization, and media analysis, supporting on-premises, cloud, and hybrid deployments across worldwide operations with offices in the USA, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
Actus Digital recently highlighted the increasing need for media newsrooms to rapidly identify breaking stories, monitor competitors, and deliver content across multiple platforms, acknowledging the constant pressure on journalists in today's competitive environment, according to an April 19 InBroadcast article. This followed the company's March 10 unveiling of new Actus X capabilities, which include native support for next-generation monitoring standards such as ATSC 3.0 with A3SA encryption and significant multiviewer enhancements for real-time browser-based monitoring with sub-second latency. These enhancements unify real-time QA alerting, compliance logging, and multiviewer monitoring with advanced clipping and AI-driven news analysis within a single browser-based solution. Earlier on March 8, Actus Digital emphasized that while compliance logging remains essential for regulatory obligations, it is no longer sufficient alone in modern broadcast operations, stressing the importance of proactive quality assurance (QA) monitoring for real-time detection of audio/video anomalies and metadata integrity to address faults immediately. The company first announced on February 18 that it would unveil these major enhancements to its Actus X Intelligent Monitoring Platform at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, aiming to reinforce its leadership in QA monitoring and compliance logging.
