On April 28, 2026, production began for the new 52-episode CGI animated series "NIKO," which Toon2Tango is producing in co-production with ZDF Studios and 20 Pictures to Midnight. The series is based on an international film franchise centered around the young flying reindeer Niko. Previously, on April 23, 2026, ZDF Studios secured worldwide distribution rights for "Lord Howe Island – Reset of Paradise," a 1 x 60’ premium nature and wildlife documentary from internationally acclaimed filmmaker Florian Guthknecht. This expanded ZDF Studios' international catalogue of nature and wildlife programming.
