As a tier 3 media tech buyer, the company develops and provides scalable on-premises and public cloud data storage systems. It specializes in video archive systems that manage files on RAID, robotic LTO tape libraries, robotic Sony ODA libraries, and/or in cloud object storage.
On September 3, 2025, XenData announced support for ALTO disk-based archives from Disk Archive Corporation. This support will be added to the X20-S and X40-S appliances, which previously only supported LTO libraries and cloud object storage. Separately, Polar Graphics announced a licensing agreement with XenData to include XenData Archive Series software in a new line of LTO archive systems, branded as Polar-Arc. The Polar-Arc systems build on Polar Graphics' experience in archiving and LTO storage solutions.
