Utah State University is a publicly owned entity headquartered in the US. Founded in 1888, it employs approximately 9,180 individuals. Functioning as a public land-grant and research university primarily located in Logan, Utah, it was established under the Morrill Land-Grant Acts as Utah's federal land-grant institution and is recognized as one of the state's two flagship universities. As of fall 2025, USU enrolled 29,831 students across its statewide system, with its Logan campus notably serving as the largest public residential campus in Utah, where more than 84 percent of students reside away from home.
