News Summary:

On March 18, 2026, Universal Pictures and Peacock jointly acquired distribution rights for a trilogy of *The Exorcist* sequels for an estimated $400 million. This project will mark another collaboration between Blumhouse Productions and director David Gordon Green, who previously delivered a trilogy of *Halloween* sequels for Blumhouse and Universal. Previously, on March 16, organizers announced further venues for the first-ever UK tour of the multi award-winning *Back to the Future The Musical*. Earlier, on March 10, Universal Pictures won a bid to develop a biopic about the iconic rock band Bon Jovi. The studio has not yet revealed the director or cast for the project. This follows Universal Studios Hollywood's unveiling on March 3 of the final three ride vehicles—the Mazda RX-7, Nissan Skyline GT-R, and Toyota Supra—for its "Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift" roller coaster, which joins the previously announced Dodge Charger. The theme park is putting final touches on the high-speed outdoor attraction, slated to open this summer.
