TrueSpeed, also known as TS Climbing, became World Climbing’s Speed Timing System Official Partner and Sole Supplier on May 27, 2026, building on its prior development work in the Speed discipline. Previously, on May 1, 2026, Truespeed and Freedom Fibre completed their merger following regulatory approval, forming the Freedom Truespeed Group. The combined entity reports 412,000 premises ready for service and 70,000 customers. This development followed the companies' announcement of their strategic combination on February 11, 2026. Truespeed had previously merged with County Broadband in 2025, consolidating its networks in the South-West and East of England. Earlier, on January 27, 2026, Freedom Fibre and Truespeed were nearing the finalization of their altnet merger to become a significant player in the sector amid industry consolidation pressures.
