On September 17, 2026, the University of Salford strengthened its long-standing partnership with Aquinas College, creating opportunities for staff to collaborate directly with Aquinas colleagues, build links with college departments, and contribute to subject enrichment, outreach, employability, and employer engagement activities. Previously, the University announced a major new partnership with Bupa, which will serve as the founding partner for a new wellbeing roof garden at the University’s Thrive Health and Wellbeing Centre. Earlier, on September 16, the University launched a community consultation to share proposed plans and gather feedback for a new 80,000 sq ft Business School building. This initiative represents the University's most significant investment to date in its campus estate and is described as a next step in the city's regeneration.
