Telia Sweden, also known as Telia Sverige, is a privately owned company headquartered in Sweden and a subsidiary of Telia Company. On March 18, 2026, Telia Sweden placed an initial order with technology company Waystream for access switches, valued at 3 million SEK, with delivery expected in May. This order follows a framework agreement signed by the two companies in late 2022 for the procurement of equipment across Telia's group markets. Previously, on November 27, 2025, Telia announced an investment of half a billion kronor to expand and strengthen its mobile network in Sweden's rural areas, covering at least 17,000 square kilometers with new masts and improved coverage. Earlier, on November 18, 2025, Telia Sweden confirmed its participation in the CyberInfra scheme, an initiative aimed at developing connected portable roadwork signage to enhance traffic safety during road construction. Other participants in the scheme include national research institute RISE, the Transport Administration, Svevia, Sigma Technology Embedded Network, and Halmstad University.
