Earlier, on August 17, IT infrastructure company Transtema signed a service and maintenance agreement with Telia for fixed and mobile networks in Sweden, valued at approximately 900 million kronor over an initial three-year term. This agreement, replacing an existing contract, takes effect at the end of 2026. Telia was also among several European telecom operators, including BT and Deutsche Telekom, focusing on operational cost savings to improve financial fortunes and drive EBITDA or EBITDA-AL growth for the period ended June 30, 2026. This follows the company's July 22 report of adding 27,000 TV customers in Sweden in the quarter ending June, bringing its base to 1.258 million, and growing its broadband base by 14,000 to 1.957 million, demonstrating strong growth in Nordic telecom TV markets.
