Zan Vipotnik signed a new contract with Swansea City through to 2030 on March 19, 2026, with the 24-year-old Slovenian striker stating the new terms will increase his motivation following an outstanding campaign. Previously, on March 16, minority shareholder Snoop Dogg outlined a decade-long strategy to transform the Welsh city into a European entertainment hub, viewing his stake in the Championship club as more than an investment. Earlier, on March 7, Swansea City advanced to a Bute Energy Welsh Cup semi-final against Cwmbran Celtic, positioning them one step away from their first final appearance since 2018; the last time they reached the final, they won the competition for the third time by defeating Cardiff City. This followed Snoop Dogg's first appearance at a home game as a co-owner at the Swansea.com Stadium on February 24, where he was welcomed as a minority investor alongside Martha Stewart and Luka Modric during the team's clash with Preston North End. On February 1, Finland international Leo Walta, 22, completed his transfer to Swansea City, becoming the third and final signing for the club during the January transfer window, following the arrivals of Joel Ward and Gustavo Nunes.
