On March 14, 2026, the draw for the Betfred Challenge Cup quarter-finals was announced to be held live on March 17 during BBC One’s Morning Live program, featuring Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones. This follows a breakthrough on March 10 in the commercial dispute between Betfred and betting shop media rights company The Racing Partnership (TRP). A deal between the two entities would enable Betfred to broadcast events from TRP's portfolio of 21 tracks, which includes those managed by Arena Racing Company (Arc). Earlier, on February 28, Betfred officially opened a new digital betting shop located on Market Square in Sunderland city centre.
