On July 3, 2026, Betfred unveiled its expanded and refurbished Gibraltar headquarters, describing the investment as a long-term commitment to the market and its local talent. The new space, which houses the company's online division, provides a high-spec working environment for 120 employees and is designed to support collaboration, innovation, and future growth. Previously, on June 19, Betfred confirmed its gaming products would be temporarily unavailable to customers in Ireland, taking a pause to align with the country’s new gambling licensing rules before they came into effect. The operator had announced it would temporarily suspend operations from the end of June, ahead of the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI) beginning to oversee online gambling operators from July 1. This decision also came as a black market affiliate reportedly mimicked Betfred branding, with a Betfred.ie URL unearthed to include links to unlicensed operators. Earlier, on June 18, Betfred confirmed to SBC News that it was taking a "temporary pause" in Ireland amid wholesale regulatory changes in the market.
