Ogilvy is a privately owned company, headquartered in the US and part of WPP. Founded in 1948, the company employs approximately 12,300 people globally. Functioning as a global advertising and PR agency, it provides services in growth and innovation, advertising and branding, public relations, and health, in addition to operating a strategy division known as Ogilvy Consulting.
On March 21, 2026, Ogilvy confirmed its decision not to participate in the upcoming creative RFP for IBM, ending a 32-year creative partnership with the technology company. WPP-owned Ogilvy stepped away from its role as IBM's creative agency of record, a relationship that began in 1994 when IBM moved its then-$500 million advertising business to the agency. Previously on March 20, the "Hall of Ads" featured an Ogilvy-crafted digital film for Cadbury Celebrations' Eid campaign, originally released in May 2019 by Ogilvy Mumbai. The campaign aimed to transform gifting anxiety into a message of sweetness and inclusion. Earlier on March 20, Ogilvy Singapore was recognized among the top performers on "Night One" of ADFEST 2026, where Lotus Awards were distributed across 12 categories, including Brand Experience, Commerce, Digital & Social, and Media.
