A subsidiary of NRJ Group, with subsidiaries including Cherie FM, NRJ Bulgaria, Nostalgie France, and Rire & Chansons, the company was founded in 1981 and employs approximately 850 individuals, reporting $259.9M in revenue as of 2024. The company specializes in broadcast television and radio. It was created by Jean-Paul Baudecroux and Max Guazzini in June 1981. Popularized by singer Dalida, who prevented its closure in 1984, NRJ is the founding station of NRJ International, maintaining a presence in over 15 countries and reaching more than 30 million listeners on a weekly basis.
