Mubi, privately owned and headquartered in the UK, was founded in 2007 and employs approximately 230 individuals, operating as a tier 1 media tech buyer specializing in media and TV services. The company functions as a global film platform that provides on-demand, streaming ad-free content, weekly cinema tickets to selected new release films with MUBI GO, and access to its international film criticism and news publication on Notebook. Mubi is available on the web, Roku devices, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, LG and Samsung Smart TVs, as well as on mobile devices including iPad, iPhone, and Android.
Mubi Editions, in partnership with la Cinémathèque française, is set to globally publish "The Faust Bible: The Making of F.W. Murnau’s Masterpiece" in October. The book will feature material related to F.W. Murnau’s silent era classic “Faust” that was previously thought lost. Previously, Mubi announced its June and July 2026 programming, highlighting "PHANTOMS OF JULY," Julian Radlmaier’s fourth film, as a worldwide exclusive. Earlier in May, Mubi committed to fully finance and provide a wide theatrical release across multiple territories for a new version of “Maniac Cop,” directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, with Goodfellas co-producing the project.
