McLaren Racing announced on September 18, 2026, a global partnership with SharkNinja, a product design and technology company, which will span its Formula 1, IndyCar, World Endurance Championship, and F1 Academy programs. Previously, on September 16, 2026, McLaren Automotive Ltd. revealed plans to establish a new UK factory, creating 1000 new jobs by 2032, as it gears up for its first sport utility vehicle. The company intends to invest £500 million ($674 million) in the additional assembly facility, its headquarters in Woking, Surrey, and a carbon-fiber manufacturing site in Sheffield. This investment is part of a broader commitment from shareholder L’IMAD to transform the business for future growth, establishing an integrated UK operation covering design, engineering, and advanced manufacturing.
