Lagardere, a publicly owned company headquartered in France and a subsidiary of Vivendi, was founded in 1992. The company employs approximately 3390 individuals and reported $10.7B in revenue as of 2025. It specializes in broadcast media production and distribution, encompassing content publishing, production, broadcasting, and distribution, with key subsidiaries including Hachette Livre, Lagardere Live Entertainment, and Lagardere News / Lagardere Radio.
Lagardere SA completed a €500 million 6-year bond issue on September 17, 2026, maturing in September 2032 with a 5.25% annual coupon. The company utilized these funds to repay a portion of a June 2024 bank facility and part of the Vivendi loan, spreading out its debt maturities. Previously, on August 14, significant airside upgrades were underway, delivering refurbishments to duty-free stores in departures and arrivals, alongside other customer service improvements. This followed Lagardère Travel Retail reporting a 3.3% like-for-like revenue growth to €2978 million in H1 2026 on July 29, driven by Europe and the Americas despite the Middle East situation. Asia Pacific also saw healthy growth, attributed to the Auckland concession takeover, which offset the impact of network streamlining in mainland China. A day earlier, on July 28, Lagardère presented its H1 2026 results, indicating a 2.7% increase in revenue and a €201 million reduction in debt, with organic growth across its publishing, travel retail, and live entertainment divisions.
