The Italian Ministry of Economic Development, also known as MISE, is a state-owned entity headquartered in Italy. Founded in 2013, and employing approximately 1,130 individuals, the ministry functions as a department of the Italian government, responsible for the development and implementation of economic policies that promote the growth of Italian businesses and industries.
On June 30, 2026, the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy (MIMIT) reached the halfway point of its Benefit Competition, an initiative promoting awareness and support for organizations adopting or intending to adopt the benefit model. Previously, on June 18, 2026, MIMIT and aerospace company Radia signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on developing WindRunner, a next-generation ultra-large cargo aircraft, and explore related industrial development opportunities in Italy.
