Ideastream Public Media may become involved in a new lawsuit against Cleveland State University (CSU) regarding the transfer of the WCSB radio station, despite not being directly named in the suit, due to a nondisclosure agreement signed about six months before the station's October transfer. This follows revelations on November 13, 2025, that Cleveland State University President Laura Bloomberg and Ideastream Public Media President and CEO Kevin Martin signed a two-page confidentiality and nondisclosure agreement on March 17, indicating discussions over the radio station transfer began over six months before the deal was inked. Earlier, on October 31, 2025, a legal expert suggested the CSU-Ideastream deal over WCSB 89.3 could be invalidated if the college failed to adhere to Ohio public meetings law.
