Earlier, on April 9, 2025, the ARP applied to national competition regulator UOKiK for permission to take over Hawe Telekom. This takeover involved converting Hawe Telekom's debt to ARP into equity as part of restructuring proceedings following a Warsaw Economic Court decision, an agreement ARP and Hawe Telekom reached in January. The Industrial Development Agency initially announced this agreement on January 20, 2025, to convert almost all of Hawe Telekom's debt into an equity stake with the operator's management board and estate administrator, proposing a deal that would grant the agency nearly 100 percent ownership upon court approval.
