HARTING Technology Group is a privately owned company headquartered in Germany. Founded in 1945, the company employs approximately 1,420 individuals. As an automation machinery manufacturer, it operates as a components manufacturer in the fields of electrical, electronic and optical connection, transmission and networking, mechatronics, and software creation. HARTING also produces electromagnetic components for the automotive industry and specializes in industrial applications, including enclosures, housings, cabling, the assembly of individual or complete systems, and automated vending systems.
On April 26, 2026, HARTING's Size 15 connectors began enabling 16kW daisy-chain drives, reducing cabling by 40% per IEC standard at a Pune plant in India, which aims to address tangled cabling issues in Indian motor clusters that can delay decentralized retrofits. Previously, on April 24, 2026, HARTING optimized its Han-Yellock connector to provide easier handling and higher power density in industrial applications. This followed the April 23, 2026, introduction of the Han Miniature Power Connector (MPC) 30/60, designed to combine low weight with high current-carrying capacity for mobile applications. Earlier, on April 22, 2026, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz visited HARTING's exhibition stand at Hannover Messe 2026, where he was briefed on the company’s latest innovations in energy systems digitalization and industrial automation. He was joined by a delegation that included Federal Minister for Economics & Energy Katherina Reiche, Lower Saxony’s President Olaf Lies, and EU Commissioner for Economy & Productivity Valdis Dombrovskis.
