Finnish Ice Hockey Association, also known as Suomen Jääkiekkoliitto and Finlands Ishockeyförbund, is a State Owned entity based in Finland. Founded in 1929, the organization employs approximately 180 individuals and reported $24.6M in revenue as of 2023. Functioning as the national governing body for ice hockey in Finland and a member and representative of the IIHF (International Ice Hockey Federation), the association oversees Finnish Ice Hockey from entry-level to high performance teams and competitions, including National Teams participating in World Championship events and the Olympic Winter Games. All domestic competitive series operate under the Finnish Ice Hockey Association, with the exception of men’s Liiga, which is a separate organization. Together with clubs, it is responsible for growing and developing the game at all levels, as well as managing approximately 70,000 registered players and 40,000 official games played yearly. Although its headquarters are located in Helsinki, the organization operates in eight regional districts covering the entire country.
