FC Utrecht

FC Utrecht, a privately owned entity headquartered in the Netherlands, was founded in 1970 through a merger between local clubs VV DOS, USV Elinkwijk, and Velox. It employs approximately 400 individuals and primarily offers sports tickets, merchandise, and sponsorship opportunities. The company functions as a Dutch professional football club based in Utrecht, competing in the Eredivisie, the top tier of Dutch football, and plays its home matches at the Stadion Galgenwaard. Since its formation, FC Utrecht has won three national cup tournaments in 1985, 2003, and 2004, and secured the Johan Cruyff Shield in 2004, becoming the first club outside the traditional Dutch Big Three to do so. The club is also notable as the only entity outside the Big Three that has never been relegated from the top-flight Eredivisie.
