On September 17, 2026, EdgeConneX appointed Garry O’Leary as SVP of Global Construction Delivery, Anders Hilt as Vice President of Norway, and Michael Barth as Vice President of Germany. Earlier the same day, EdgeConneX filed for two additional data center buildings in Bastrop County, expanding its current plans for 12 buildings in the area, a development representing an investment projected to be well into the billions of dollars. This follows an announcement by Swedish private equity firm EQT, on September 17, 2026, detailing plans to invest approximately $50 billion in India by 2030, with a substantial $30 billion earmarked for data centers, reflecting EQT's strategic focus on artificial intelligence (AI), digital infrastructure, and technology in the country.
